I went to see God today
But He was not in, to my dismay
Instead, I heard the pastor's preachings
he told us to give them more money for blessings
Is this what it has become, a business?
You give me money, i make sure you get blessed.
I was sad and angry,
I tried to talk to the man beside me,
But his eyes were closed and he was speaking gibberish
What are you doing man, i asked in English
I am speaking in tongues, he told me
Why are you doing that, i asked him clearly
He looked miffed and turned away
It's a gift from God, i heard him say
But what good is a gift if it cannot help others?
I would rather God give me something to aid my brothers.
Soon, it was time for me to go
I asked myself if I had anything to show
I now knew why God was not in today
Like me, he did not feel loved anyway.
