A teacher must be blind
to the mistakes that his pupils make
It is up to him to find
And guide his pupils on the path to take
A teacher must be deaf
So that he cannot hear others criticize his pupils
Even when there is not much time left
The teacher will make hope spring eternal
A teacher must be forgetful
So that he will not remember his pupils' wrongs
He only remembers the goodwill
And understands that mistakes will make you strong
A teacher must be thankful
For through his children he continually learns
That sometimes it truly is wonderful
What we can achieve if we make it happen
